01
Overview

The project explores an alternative digital direction for Dubai Mall, moving from an information-led experience toward a more cinematic, story-driven interface.

Built as an interview screening assignment: an interactive, browser-based sales deck for a major shopping mall, combining the structure of a pitch deck with the polish of a luxury brand experience.

04
Challenges
Why narrative over information
Facts about the mall matter less than the feeling of walking through it — atmosphere came first, copy second.
Why motion had to earn its place
Every animation needed to support a story beat, not just look impressive — decoration without purpose was cut.
Why smooth mattered as much as beautiful
A cinematic feel only holds up if it stays responsive — heavy visuals had to earn their performance cost.
05
Outcome

The result is a site that carries the scale and prestige of the destination — immersive enough that visitors feel the place before they arrive, and fast enough to hold up across devices.
